"Your time jump to 1926 is programmed in and ready, Mr. Emerald!"

Emerald didn't need to check if everything was done correctly - he knew that he could count on Jade Doyle, his loyal henchwoman.

And when he comes back, he surely will have gained the key for reclaiming his birthright, which got stolen from him so many years ago...

Since Emerald is still a child in the present day (see yesterday's entry), adult Emerald, and hence Jade, are from the future!

yeah I suppose I should retcon some panels in Volume 2 or 3 or somewhere to show that the Doyles were enthusiastic henchpersons for Elliot Maerc

Conceptually, the Doyles kinda remind me of the Igors from the Discworld novels. (Which are of course based upon Dr. Frankenstein's iconic helper.)
